	Lily's period Jul 1, 2009
I can't get my daugter Lily to talk about her period. UGH! She is a hand-full! One day her friends where over and they were talking about there periods. Lily's friend Sage said that she didn't have it and her other friend Shelly didn't have it. [I thought these girls were Lily's friends, not the more popular girls that Lily wanted to hang out with] Lily said she didn't. well during that minute i saw Lily's pants turning red from blood I ran over to her and said "Lily you just got your period honey!" And guess what? Sage and Shelly started texting everyone they knew. LIly had tears in her eyes and ran away. Sage and Shelly started laughing and I slaped them on there butts. Soon the world of Lily was gone. LIly hated going to school, and hated me for telling the girls about LIly's special day. Anyone know how to help?

	that is a shame for you to do that to her friends they r not your kids y would you do something like that that is y she hates you for doing that


	Well, first of all, she hates you, because you SPANKED her friends. What kind of mom does that? They're not your kids.


	Trust me! That had happened to me plenty of times, at school. Shes not alone!


	How old is she? It's perfectly normal. My daughter was actually the first of her friends to get her period, she got it at the end of 6th grade when she was 12. All of her friends thought she was so cool and they all wanted their periods, but she, being the one who had her period, got easily embarrassed talking about it and she would come home crying from embarrassment every once in a while. Now that she's 15 and going into 10th grade, almost every girl at her school has their period and it's just a totally normal thing that everyone talks about. Tell her that things will get easier and that by next year a lot more girls will have theirs.


	That's messed up.Those girls werent her friends in the first place.Having your period is like u are becoming a women and that is all apart of growing up.She shouldnt be embarressed but they should have been a little bit more mature about the situation.


	When I was in junior high school and two so called friends did that to me I turned around and punched both of them right in te face that taught them a lesson .


	Thank You so much! Today I went to LIly's school and guess what happend! Lily was eating lunch all by herself! Sage and Shelly were telling everybody after only around a week. Lily told me the girls went into her locker and took all of Lily's pads and tampons. They also took all the pads from everybody else and the nurse. Then I went right to the v.p. of the school and told what was going on. Sage and Shelly were lets just say they won't be going to this school ever again! So Lily has know been very popular because she's the "period person" in school. Alot of boys are "into her" and Lily is happy about it. THank you!


	I dont blame ur daughter from being upset she has the riight. What us should have done was takeing ur daughter aside away from the other girls and this would have never happen. Kids these days are ten times more meaner then they were back when I was in school, there is the cell phones with the texting and so on. Just think how would u feel if everone in the world would know when u got ur period or the very first time u had sex? Just something to think about it. Just take Lily aside make a mothers and daughters day out for just the two of and tell her how srry u are for what u did and that u were wrong for saying she had her period in front of her so called friends. These so call friend were really not her true friends in the first place reall friends don't go around texting others and telling them what is going on. Please let me know what happens.
