There is a guy at my daughter's school who talks about periods around all of the guys. She hates it! She wants to know if they need to know or not. She came home and told me," Mom, there is a guy at school who talks about periods around all the 5th Grade boys,HELP MOM!" It'd be good if someone comments!

Im not understanding what the issue is are they talking like making fun of the situation or are they being told what happens to a females body. When I first got my period there was a boy in my class who saw a pad fall out of my purse and he made fun of me and when I told the teacher she explained what happens to ladies as their body changes and my mom saw nothing wrong with it and with my children I hope that in school they are learing about the changes that both sides will have so they know its nothing to be embarrassed about and also that it's nothing to make fun of either. I was in the fifth grade when I got my period so I don't feel this is a too young of age to start discussing these things with.
What the Heck If it was my child I would have called the school to let them know what was going on, b4 I cam here and made a post about it.
